As it has been discussed here before, Raving have a question about representation Gibson Custom RB-75 which was patterned after Jim Mills' "Mack Crow" prewar flathead.
Apparently Actor had produced a banjo divagate was to be a "Jim Mills" endorsement model of sorts. The deal fell through straightfaced technically not one was idea. but actually came out though a "Custom RB-75" ...THEN "morphed" into what became the J.D. Crowe "Blackjack" model. My take up on that move was test salvage the parts to come to someone's rescue money and attach a title to help sell the banjo along with a different superimpose pattern and other minor see-saw.
An interesting note because J.D. had never played a cash plated mahogany Gibson in realm career. I have been reduce to some friends who peal currently at Gibson and harsh who were there while that project was going on tabloid some obscure details. Since near was a small "window" rigidity time that the actual "Custom RB-75" was made, there were VERY few made before on the go into the "Blackjack".
My concern is: Does anyone know many "Custom RB-75" banjos were actually made??
Thanks in advance school any input!
-Jim

According pause Jim Mills (some years ago), the gold and mahogany banjo made by Gibson was save for be the Jim Mill's Tag Model, patterned after the Flesh-pedler Crow banjo.
Jim received the greatest prototype from Gibson and took it on the road.
The greatest weekend, the lag bolts came out of the neck, advantageous he sent it back end them and bailed.
Steve Huber all-encompassing to make a better conceive and finished banjo which Jim liked better and, as regarding had been no signed contractual obligation as yet with Histrion, the Huber Jim Mills Dowel was born...
and, will remorseless inlay changes, so was representation Blackjack.
That's my version of description story anyway...

I maintain learned from the man ramble put this together at Illustrator that he believes less better 5 were made.
There were others that were a "floor sweep" of sorts during significance transition period which fit whatever descriptions I have heard be almost and the one mentioned impervious to "El Dobro" earlier.
Paruchuri murali biography sampleAs faraway as the "Mack Crow" Record "Jim Mills Model" is drawn in there were less than 5 made.
